How can we help you

How do I change the domain address or URL of my site?

Last Updated: Jan 28, 2019 02:25PM BRST
When you are ready to change your URL and go live with your own domain, you will need to change your DNS settings. You can do that from your domain registrar account (for example GoDaddy, Moniker, Network Solutions, or a host of others)  You may find different interfaces depending on the domain registrar but most of them allow you to make this change fairly easily.

When you are there, you need to change the DNS records to our nameservers below:

ns20.arcasolutions.com
ns30.arcasolutions.com
ns40.arcasolutions.com
ns50.arcasolutions.com

Attention:

  • This change is NOT automatic. When you change the DNS settings on your end, please send an email to support and tell us which domain you will use. We will change the URL of your website from here and let you know when it is ready. This process takes a couple of hours to finish depending on the DNS propagation.

  • For users who are not going to use eDirectory hosting for emails: If you want to host your website with us but continue hosting your emails with a different provider, please tell us the name of your email provider (Google, Yahoo, Outlook, GoDaddy, Zoho, 1x1, etc.) and the MX records for their email server if possible. We will need to point MX records to their server to ensure your emails continue working after you change your DNS settings.
