Captcha / Verification Code Not Displaying

Last Updated: Apr 18, 2012 10:12AM BRT
The eDirectory system uses a Captcha / Verification system when sending content through a form the listings module as well as on the Contact Us page. In order to ensure proper functionality of the Captcha / Verification code it is required to have 'GD2+ Image Libraries' enabled and running on your server. If the GD2+ Image Libraries are not functional your end users will see something similar to the image below:

You can confirm the missing server setting by uploading a 'php info' file to your server. Please open NotePad or another text editor and copy and past the code below:

Save the file as 'phpinfo.php' and upload it into the www or public_html folder on  your server. Once the upload is complete please then pull up the phpinfo page at http://yourdomain.com/phpinfo.php. If the GD2+ Image Library is enabled on your server you will see it listed on the phpinfo.php page.

If GD2+ Image Libraries are not installed or enabled on your server please contact your hosting provider for assistance. Please also remove the phpinfo.php file from your server for security purposes.
