New Search, Filter, and Sorting Options for Accounts and Categories
Introduction
Managing a growing directory requires fast, efficient tools to locate records within your administrative panel. With the latest eDirectory update, we have enhanced content management by introducing new advanced search options, dynamic filters, and sorting features across both the Accounts and Categories management screens.
In addition to performing precise searches at the top of the page, you now have quick-select options located at the bottom-left corner of the content listings, allowing you to switch display views and organize your data much faster.
Important Note: This feature is only available for eDirectory version 14.2+
What’s New?
1. Advanced Search
The main search bar in these sections now supports more granular search parameters, helping you locate specific user accounts or categories in seconds—even within large databases.

2. New Footer Filters and Sorting
Located conveniently at the bottom-left of the content table, new dropdown menus allow you to:
- Filter results quickly: Toggle between different statuses, account types, or category levels without reloading the page or resetting your search.
- Sort your display: Organize the listing alphabetically (A–Z / Z–A), by creation date (newest or oldest), activity status, or associated content volume.

Step-by-Step: How to Use the New Filters
Managing Accounts
- Log in to your eDirectory Site Manager.
- In the left navigation menu, go to Accounts → Site Managers or Sponsor Accounts.
- Use the top search bar to search by keyword, name, or email.
- To refine or organize the results, scroll to the bottom-left corner of the listing table.
- Use the Filter / Sort dropdowns to organize your results as needed (e.g., sort by Newest or filter by Active Accounts).

Managing Categories
- In your Site Manager menu, navigate to Content → Listings → Categories.
- Use the top search bar to locate a specific category by name.
- At the bottom-left corner of the category table, use the new sorting options to reorganize the view on your screen (e.g., view alphabetically or by number of subcategories).
