How to Transfer Your eDirectory License

Transferring your existing eDirectory license to a new owner is a straightforward process, but it's important to be aware of a few key details to ensure a smooth and transparent transition.


Here's a breakdown of the steps involved:

  1. Initiate the Transfer with Our Sales Department:

    To begin the license transfer, please contact our dedicated Sales Department via email at sales@edirectory.com. To ensure a seamless process and maintain clear communication with all parties involved, please include both the current license owner and the new intended license owner in the "To" or "Cc" fields of your email. This ensures transparency and facilitates efficient handling of the transfer.

  2. Specific Instructions for eDirectory Cloud License Transfers:

    If you are transferring an eDirectory Cloud license, it's crucial for the new owner to establish their own billing arrangement for the continuation of the monthly cloud service fees. Failure to provide valid payment information and ensure timely monthly payments will result in the suspension of the website due to overdue charges.

    The new owner should follow these steps to update the billing information:

    • Open the following link: https://gm307.infusionsoft.com/app/manageCart/addProduct?productId=226
    • Click on the Checkout button.
    • Under the Billing Information section, enter your name, address, and contact details.
    • In the Payment Information section, provide your new credit card details.
    • Click on Review Order and follow the subsequent prompts to complete the billing update process.
  3. Information for Owned/Source License Transfers:

    If you are transferring an Owned / Source license of eDirectory and the new owner intends to self-host the website on their own server, updating the billing information through the aforementioned link is not necessary, as there are no recurring monthly fees associated with self-hosted websites.

    However, if the new owner wishes to host the website on our eDirectory servers, they will need to provide their billing information through the link provided in step 2, as there is a monthly fee for utilizing our hosting services.


Important Note Regarding Continued Support:

Please be aware that our standard support packages are not transferable to the new license holder. If the new owner wishes to receive ongoing technical support from the eDirectory support team, it will be necessary to purchase a new Annual Support Package. The cost of this package is $399 per year, and it must be purchased at the time the license transfer is finalized. This ensures that the new owner has access to our expert assistance for any technical inquiries or issues they may encounter
