How to Use the Call to Action (CTA) Button

Introduction

A well-placed Call to Action (CTA) button can make all the difference in engaging potential customers and increasing conversions. The CTA button widget, now available in eDirectory v13 and above on the Listing Templates Editor, allows you to create customized buttons that enhance the effectiveness of your listings. This guide will walk you through the steps to add a CTA button to your Listing Template.

Step-by-Step Guide to Adding a CTA Button:

  1. Log into your Site Manager and go to "Content"
    • Access your eDirectory Site Manager to begin the process.

  1. In the "Content" section, click on "Listings"
    • This will take you to the listings management area.
  2. Click on "Listings Templates"
    • Navigate to the template editor to make modifications.
  3. Select the Listing Template where you want to add the CTA button
    • Choose the specific listing template that requires a CTA button.

  1. Scroll to the section where you want to place the CTA button
    • Click on the "+" icon or the "Add the widget" button at the bottom of the page.

  1. Locate the "Call to Action button" widget and click on it
    • This will insert the CTA button into your selected template.

  1. Create a label for the CTA button
    • The label helps indicate the purpose of the button to advertisers. For instance, if you are a real estate agent selling a house, you might label it as a sales button.
  2. Customize the button
    • Choose between a filled or outlined button.
    • Select the alignment: extended, centered, left-aligned, or right-aligned.
    • If you want to make this button a required field for advertisers, you can enable this option.

  1. Add a label for the button
    • This is the text that will be displayed on the button. For example, "Make an offer".
  2. Click "Save" to apply changes
    • This saves the newly created button settings.
  3. Save changes in the Listing Templates Editor
    • Ensure all modifications are stored by clicking "Save Changes" at the template editor page.

  1. Configure the button in the ad creation section
    • When creating an ad, you’ll see a field for the CTA button, such as "Sales Button".
    • Enter a link where the button should redirect users, aligning with its purpose.
  2. Save your settings and finalize
    • Once all configurations are complete, save your changes. The CTA button will now be active on your listing.
