Historically, we have found that the majority of eDirectory customers see enough growth of their site that they find the need to bring on additional individuals to assist them in managing the directory. To make the process of having additional individuals in the Site manager interface a bit more secure, the primary Site manager has the ability to create additional Site manager accounts and restrict what they can do inside their account.

Navigate to the Sitemgr →User Accounts → Site manager Accounts → Add new manager

On the next page, it is required to provide First Name, Last name, Email, Phone Number (Optional), Password and, retype password.

One additional, not required, option is to create an IP Address restriction for that additional site manager. This meaning, that what every IP address is pre-designated for them, will be the only IP Address they will be able to access their account from.

Be sure to check the box 'Account status' when you are ready for that account to be active.

Important: If the option Account status is not activated, the new site manager account will not be able to log in, and a message that the account is not activated will be displayed.

Next, it is necessary to check the permissions for the additional site manager account. Find below the list of restrictions for both versions 13.1 and under and 13.2 and above
