Verifying your domain is really import in order to prove that you are the true owner of a site domain. This configuration is also important to submit a sitemap of your site to Google and index its pages. There are several ways of verifying a domain, and on this article, we are describing three ways: using the HTML Tag, Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager.
How to verify a domain using the HTML Tag
1) Go to Google Search Console: https://search.google.com/search-console/welcome
2) Enter your website link under the URL prefix and click the Continue button. It's best to follow the default format https://www.test.com
Notice: Replace "test" with your site domain.
Notice: In order to verify your domain, first it is needed to have a live domain (URL) connected to your site. If you would like to change the domain of your website, contact our team on the email: support@edirectory.com.
3) Select the option "HTML Tag" from Other verification methods. Copy the meta tag by clicking the Copy button.
4) In order to paste the HTML Tag on the site manager area, take into account your site version. Here are the instructions on how to do this on different versions:
4.1) If your site is version 13.1 or under, go to Settings → Google Integrations → Google Search Console. Paste the meta tag you copied and save changes.
4.2) If your site is version 13.2 or above, go to Promote → SEO Center → Webmaster tools:
Paste the HTML Tag in the Google Search Console field and save changes.
5) After saving the changes on your site manager, return to the Google Search Console and click the "Verify" button and then click the "Done" button.
How to verify a domain with Google Analytics

3) Select the option "Google Analytics" from Other verification methods, click on "Verify" and on the "Done" button.
