Note: This feature is available for eDirectory version 13.2 and above

Despite sounding counterintuitive to block search engines from your site, there a few situations where this might be useful.

A test/staging environment, with a permanent domain, containing mockup content.

A development environment, containing all the data from your current live site.

By default, eDirectory allows for search engines (such as Google and Bing) to crawl over and index your site.

If do not want to have your site indexed, you can prevent search engines from accessing your site.

Refer to your SEO center on the 'Promote' section, and click on 'General SEO settings':

Once there, simply click on the search results toggle to disable it.

Note: This will block the access from every search engine, including Google and Bing.

This may be enabled/disabled at any time.
