Configuring the Real Estate Plugin


Step 1: Enable Real Estate Fields in the Listing Template Editor

  1. Log in to your Admin Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Content → Listings → Listing Template. 
  3. Click Add Listing Template and name it (e.g., “Real Estate”). 
  4. Toggle Enable property fields for this template to activate real estate-specific fields. 
  5. Under Categories, ensure only property-related categories are added. This ensures the Real Estate Search Box displays relevant categories.



Note: Instructions for adding the Real Estate Search Box are detailed in Step 6.


Step 2: Set Property Area Measurement Units

  1. Navigate to Settings → General Settings → Plugins. 
  2. Scroll to the Real Estate Plugin section.
  3. Select your preferred unit of measurement for property areas (e.g., square feet or square meters). 
  4. Save your changes.


Step 3: Configure Property Fields in the Listing Entry Form

  1. Go to Content → Listings → Add Listing. 
  2. Associate the listing with the Real Estate template you created in Step 1. 
  3. Configure property-specific fields such as:
    • Number of bedrooms
    • Bathrooms
    • Garage availability
    • Price range 

 

These fields will now appear in the listing entry form, allowing users to provide detailed property information.


Step 4: Check out Search Filters for Property Fields

Once listings with property-specific fields are added:

  • After performing a search, The results page automatically updates to include filters for criteria like bedrooms, bathrooms, garage, and price range.

 

Step 5: Check out Property Fields in Summary Cards and Headers

Property details (e.g., bedrooms, bathrooms, pricing) will automatically:

  • Display prominently in summary cards for listings. 
  • Appear in all header variations on the listing detail pages. 

Step 6: Enable Property Search Widgets

  1. Navigate to Design → Page Editor.
  2. Select the page where you want to add search functionality. 
  3. Click Add a Widget → Search. 
     
  4. Choose from the four Real Estate-specific widgets:
    • Real estate search bar
    • Real estate search box
    • Real estate advanced search bar
    • Real estate advanced search box
  5. Add the widget to your desired page(s).
  6. Save changes 


Configuring a Real Estate Page


After configuring all the previous steps, you might want to have an exclusive real estate page to display only real estate listings.
