Introduction: Understanding Listing Claims


In the expansive world of eDirectory, it's not uncommon to stumble upon unclaimed listings. These listings, although present on the site, await the attention of their rightful owners. If you've identified a listing that belongs to you, claiming it ensures that you have full control over the information presented and the ability to make real-time updates.


Step 1: Access Your Listing Page


The first step in the claiming process is to locate and access your listing page on the eDirectory site. Navigate to the specific listing you wish to claim.


Step 2: Click "Is this your listing? Claim it here"


Once on your listing page, keep an eye out for the option that reads, "Is this your listing? Claim it here." Click on this option to initiate the claiming process.



Step 3: How to Claim a Listing 


On the next page, you'll find the steps to claim a listing, which include: 1) Identification, 2) Subscribing to a plan, and 3) Updating listing information.

  • If you’re not yet a registered member, click on "Sign up and claim now."
  • If you’re already a member, click on "Already a member? Sign in here."

In this example, we’ll walk through the process for a user who does not have an account. We’ll click on "Sign up and claim now" to begin.


Step 4: Choose Subscription Plan 


Choose the plan that aligns with your preferences.



Step 5: Register to the Site


To proceed with the claim, you'll need to register on the eDirectory site. Click on the "Register" option, and provide your First name, Last name, E-mail, and create a secure Password. Complete the registration by confirming the reCAPTCHA.



Step 6: Checkout


Select your preferred payment method, review your billing information, and click "Confirm Payment." On the following page, enter the billing details required for your chosen payment method. Once completed, your payment will be processed.  



Note: If you select a free subscription plan, you’ll still be directed to the checkout page. However, no charges will be applied—you’ll see a message indicating that the subscription is free. Simply click "Continue" to proceed.



Step 7: Update Listing Information


Select your preferred listing template, and click "Select template" to be redirected to the listing form. 


Here, you have the opportunity to update and customize all relevant listing information. This includes categories, description, keywords, email, phone, address, and more.


Note: When claiming a listing, you'll gain access to the listing form for updating certain information. However, please be aware that certain fields, such as images and videos, may not be editable during this initial claiming process, and can see the following message "Some information in your listing such as the cover image, image gallery, video, additional file, and badges will be available for edition only after your claim request is approved." These features will become accessible immediately after the site manager approves your listing claim, as illustrated in the message below.

Step 8: Save 


Once you've meticulously updated your listing, scroll down and click "Save." 



You will see a message of successful listing update.


Step 9: Dashboard


Upon successfully updating your claimed listing, you'll see it by clicking in your dashboard option. If the status shows as "Pending," it means the site manager must approve the listing before it goes live. Once approved, your listing will be visible to the public on the site.
