The eDirectory system is designed to send email notifications to the Sitemgr when specific activity occurs on the directory. The specific activities include:


  • Listing Add / Update: Each time a new business listing or an existing active listing has been updated, the system will send an email notification.
  • Event Add / Update: Each time a new event or an existing active event has been updated, the system will send an email notification.
  • Banner Add / Update: Each time a new banner or an existing banner has been updated, the system will send an email notification.
  • Classified Add / Update: Each time a new classified or an existing classified has been updated, the system will send an email notification.
  • Article Add / Update: Each time a new article or an existing active article has been updated, the system will send an email notification.
  • Account Add: Each time a new Account (Sponsor or Visitor) is added, the system will send an email notification.
  • Contact Us: Each time a end user submits a request via the Contact Us page, the system will send an email notification. 
  • Help / Support: When a Sponsor or Visitor account submits a request inside their account management interface the system will send an email notification.
  • Payment Received: Anytime a successful transaction is completed through your selected payment gateway the system will send an email notification. This notification will be sent for both new purchases and renewals.
  • Reviews: When an end user submits a Review (using the Ratings and Reviews Functionality) the system will send an email notification.
  • Claimed Listing: When a Business Listing is claimed by an end user the system will send an email notification
  • Comments: When an end user posts a comment to a Blog.
  • Import: When the import tool completes the import process the system will send an email notification.


The Sitemgr has the ability to designate a specific email address to receive a specific notification, if multiple people are managing the directory. However, if the Sitemgr wants a single email account to receive all notifications they designate that address by filling out the 'General E-mail' option.
