With the release of eDirectory version 13.6, importing images alongside your listings has become a reality! This new feature simplifies your workflow, saving time and enhancing the visual appeal of your listings. Follow the guide below to start using the new image import functionality.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Download the Template File

    • Navigate to Content Manager > Import > Listings.
    • Click on Download Template File to obtain the Excel file used for importing your listings.

  2. Fill Out the Template File

    • Enter all the listing details as you normally would in previous versions.
    • Notice the new columns in the template specifically for image import:
      • Logo Image
      • Cover Image
      • Gallery Main Image
      • Gallery Image 1, Gallery Image 2, ..., Gallery Image 10
         

  3. Add Image Links

    • In the new image columns, paste the links to your images. The system only accepts hosted image URLs, so ensure your images are uploaded to a cloud platform that generates direct links.
    • For hosting your images, we recommend using ImageShack. You can create an account, upload your images, and generate the links required for the template.

Important Notes

  • Google Drive Compatibility: Currently, Google Drive links are not supported for image imports. It’s essential to use an alternative platform, such as ImageShack, to host your images and generate valid links.
  • Link Format:Additionally, the image links must follow this format: https://example.com/example.jpg. Make sure the links point directly to the image file and end with an appropriate image extension, such as .jpg, .png, or .gif. Example: Please, check the example of how the link would look:

Uploading the File

Once your template is complete:

  1. Return to Content Manager > Import > Listings.
  2. Upload the completed template file with all the listing details and image links.
  3. Complete the import process, and your listings, along with their images, will appear on your site!
