☑ SEO - Open Graph and Canonical

eDirectory is built with SEO in mind and is dedicated to constantly improving.  In this new release we have added canonical URL to the results page to avoid duplicated URLs – this prevents duplicate recordings in the Search Engines.
We have improved the way the Open graph tags have been added to the results page.  This will improve how the content will be displayed when shared on social media such as Facebook and Twitter.
 

☑ New Theme Updates

Choose from the beautifully-designed default theme or choose from 3 additional themes each of which has it’s own home page look and feel with unique display and behavior options. 
The Medical Guide is designed to promote the health and wellness industries and features. This theme puts recent reviews front and center – an important feature when choosing a healthcare professional.
The Restaurant or Dining Guide allows site managers to prominently display featured listings for optimal exposure.
The Wedding Guide easily allows site managers to build a beautiful wedding guide to promote wedding planners, venues, photographers, caterers and more.  This layout minimizes the category links.
Of course you can use these themes for ANY business or industry and customize to meet your needs. All of the image sizes are consistent between themes so you may choose to switch themes at any time and will not lose the integrity or compromise the design of your directory website.

 

☑ Stripe – New Payment Gateway Integration & Free Trials

eDirectory has added Stripe to the list of payment gateways so site managers will now be able to not only add this as a payment option but Stripe users also can now offer the ability offer free trials to any of your listing levels and plans.  Please note that the trial feature is exclusive to Stripe.
To set this up, site managers would choose to Enable Recurring, Enable Stripe and then click back to Manager Level and Pricing. Here you will now see an option in the levels to choose how many days you wish to offer a trial for.   Choose and Save.
On your ‘Advertise with Us’ Page – you will now see the free trial promotion within your pricing plans!
Users will be asked for their credit cards when signing up and will then be charged once their trial period is over.

☑ Added Social Sharing Options and WhatsApp         

Sharing on social media helps to further promote your directory in a big way. eDirectory now allows users to share on WhatsApp when the directory is being used on a mobile device.
Another great new feature in the Events module is the opportunity to add a business Facebook page link.
 

☑ Enhanced Membership Level Editor

More enhancements to the Membership Level Editor include the ability now to associate a classified ad with with a listing AND the ability to offer multiple deals or coupons with any listings. Further-promote classified ads which are perfect for job listings, merchandise, services and real estate. We are sure advertisers will love these new updates!
 

☑ Enhanced Image Slider Presentation

The image slider feature allows site managers to upload their own images to customize the look and feel of the website. Now, you can also add a description And Link to those images as well as easily change the order of the slides using the new drag and drop editing feature.
 

☑ Google re-CAPTCHA

With the addition of a new Google re-CAPTCHA feature on the email forms, it now ensures better quality lead capture from the website. Higher quality leads for you AND your advertisers.
 

 

☑ Enhanced Banner Ad Editor & Placement

The new home page structure now allows for better and more banner size display options.  This includes Square and Wide Sky Scraper.  Not only does it allow your advertisers more prominent exposure on your homepage but can help you upsell prime spots and expand your revenue potential!
 

☑ Enhanced Email Editor

eDirectory’s email editor allows the site manager to design and send email notifications automatically right from the platform. New to this release is the ability to brand these emails with your own headers and footers. Further customize your email notification with great new templates and updated content.

  • The new release is built on PHP 5.6 which provides a more stable environment and better flow.
  • Elasticsearch 2.3 provides advanced searching and is one of the strongest, most powerful search engines available.
